Most Promising New Games Shown at Gamescom 2018
The Dark Pictures Anthology
Until Dawn developer, Supermassive Games incorporates a new horror game in the works, titled The Dark Pictures Anthology. Interestingly, since the title suggests, it will be a compilation or anthology of smaller stories that can release separately. The first, Man of Medan will launch in 2019 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. This story appears to be play like Until Dawn, wherein you can choose different branching paths that trigger various consequences. Man of Medan develops for a boat with four playable characters inside of a massively repayable story. There are many branching paths in Man of Medan than another game Supermassive catalog.
What’s intriguing is that often there are actually, apparently, 39 different horror sub-genres that Supermassive Games would like to represent. Whether that can play out remains seen, nevertheless the perception of 39 short experiences in a single giant package raises a lot of questions, and now we will likely need to wait and see. Until Dawn is often a fan-favorite, its no wonder that we’re so excited for that Dark Pictures Anthology.
